When does your season begin?
The Maricopa Juggernauts season begins in May with weekly conditioning, with the official season kick off starting 7/8/24. The season lasts through November with games beginning in September.
How often are practices?
During season, practices will be three days a week for two hours at Copper Sky. The first two weeks of the season, are known as “Hell Week” will be five nights a week.
When are games and how long do they last?
Due to the heat, the majority of our games are early in the morning on Saturdays. Usually ending at noon. The older teams ocassionally get a chance to play at night under the lights at local high schools. You can plan to arrive 1 hour before the game starts with games lasting an hour and a half to two hours.
Are their tryouts or combines?
No. There are other leagues in the Valley that assemble their teams this way, but we do not. We believe that good coaches will keep and instruct their players to get better as a group, rather than looking to cast kids off who might be new to the sport or just not as good of an athlete (yet).
How much does a season cost?
Football Registration – $500
Cheer Registration – $300
We understand that this is an investment in your athlete and do offer discounts, payment plans and scholarships. Please reach out to the team business manager at 480-630-9704 to make payment arrangements.

Please be sure to read through our website and FAQ to see if your question is answered. If you are still needing assistance please click here to reach out with any additional questions.

During the regular season games will take place all over the Phoenix valley. Generally reams will play four home and four away games.
How do I volunteer?
Please contact the team business manager, Ashley Wallace at 480-630-9704 to express interest in volunteering, coaching, or becoming a team parent.
What do the fees cover?
Team fees cover the cost to rent fields, pay refs, obtain insurance, football and cheer uniforms, league fees, team events and other costs associated with running our program.
Are there scholarships?
Yes, but they are very limited and our ability to afford them never meets demand. We have several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for scholarships. A scholarship committee will meet and approve those scholarships until those funds run out. To apply please click here.
What additional equipment costs are there?
Football players will need cleats, practice pants, shoulder pads, helmet, mouth guard and some optional gear like receiver gloves or additional padding. Cheerleaders will need shoes and form fitting practice wear as to not interfere with tumbling, stunting, and the sport as a whole.
What if I have a problem with my players coach?
If you feel your coach is doing something unsafe or unethical we encourage you to contact a staff member immediately and we will look into your allegation(s). Please realize that if your conflict is one of personalities or strategy about the game itself, we will usually side with the coaches. An organization stepping in to remove a coach is almost universally destructive to a teams changes to compete and will only take that step if we see signs of unsafe or unethical behavior. Otherwise we will attempt to mediate and hope both sides can come to a place that is best for the players and the team.
Please understand that most parents woefully underestimate the time and energy that coaches commit to a season and this commitment is made entirely on a volunteer basis. Click here to submit a comment, question or concern.
